The Boss…
Hailing from Melbourne Andy has been in the UK since late 2002 and read his first quiz at the Harwood Arms in Fulham around a year later. In his younger days he wanted to be an actor and after small parts in two famous Australian soaps he thought he was well on the way!
Three years later after no phone calls and blisters on his fingers from pouring beers he decided to travel. Armed with his loud voice he was destined for the pub quiz world because you had to listen to him whether you liked it or not! ‘Question one!’ he would bellow across a crowded pub to signify the start of proceedings and soon after he thought that would be a good name for his growing business!
He puts together all the questions and pictures himself and his unique and humorous approach to quizzing has gone down well with the London crowd. He now runs the show from his base South West London and has an army of talented quiz masters at his disposal.
He still hosts weekly events at the East Hill in Wandsworth and after 7 years he is still a fixture every Tuesday at the Harwood Arms in Fulham (which won a Michelin star! So in effect we do the only Michelin starred pub quiz in London! The Scotch eggs are to die for) He travels back to Melbourne now and then but London is his adopted home and he plans on questioning you all for years to come!
